Serving customers, always looking for the best, easiest way of doing things, developing others & finding ways to solve any problem that comes my way. This is who Peter Cox is! As I was introduced to the world of Continuous Improvement methods, 6 Sigma, Lean, TRIZ and the structured problem solving processes, I found my true calling in using these tools to help people solve process problems by taking them with me on the journey. Solving someone else’s problems for them doesn’t make them go away. “You don’t solve a famine by giving people food, you give them seeds, teach them to irrigate, enable them to farm that they can feed themselves”. I don’t know the source of the quote and unfortunately in the world today it still applies. For me it is a key ethic, help others to solve their own problems with focus, teaching and coaching.

Lean practitioner, Kaizen Facilitator, trainer & coach. Multiple successful Kaizen events in 5S, VSM, TPM, Fast Changeover (SMED), Layout Design, Kanban, Standard Work facilitated to conclusion of improvements & benefits. Trainer of Lean & Facilitation skills.

Experience in operational transformation, deep dive process analysis, to develop strategic improvement roadmaps,

Functional leadership across manufacturing, OEM and Supply Chain as well as in project & change management. 

 

 

 

02. Practical

 While there are many tools in the box it only makes sense to use the right tools for any given situation or problem. I focus on identifying the real problems behind the “symptoms”, short, focused investigation to enable fast & effective actions. Facilitate individuals & teams to solve their own problems by providing the structure & tools to realize permanent improvements. The practical approach is reflected in my training programs. Hands on, experiential learn by doing with realistic simulations that enable participants to connect the training to the real world or their work. 

03. Honesty

I am what I am, no frills, bells or whistles. I work hard with fun & a smile. I always try to achieve the win win results. I am a process perfectionist, if you are going to do something, do it right! However, life has taught me that in the end most things are a compromise or constrained so you do the best you can with what you have. Hence, I believe people are the greatest asset as they only appreciate with age & experience if supported & invested in.
